A portrait of the work and collaborations of Grammy-nominated flutist, composer, and vocalist, Nathalie Joachim. Known equally for her creative authenticity and commitment to music education, as well as being an advocate for social change and cultural awareness, Joachim will give viewers an inside look at some of her most noted compositions to date and a glimpse at projects on the horizon. The program will highlight her Haitian heritage, pieces driven by oral history and archival research, and the community-centered work of her ensemble Flutronix. Joachim is joined by special guest cellist Seth Parker Woods, in this intimate program filmed on the Harris Theater stage in March 2021.
